Cycling Tours Around Venice

The ideal base for exploring Venice and the Veneto by bicycle

Teresa House is the ideal starting point for travellers who enjoy exploring by bicycle and wish to discover Venice and the surrounding area in an authentic, relaxed and sustainable way. Thanks to the private garage, guests can safely store bicycles, e-bikes, helmets, panniers and accessories throughout their stay, with the peace of mind of always having their equipment secure.

For cycle tourists travelling on multi-day routes, Teresa House also provides a basic set of bicycle maintenance tools, useful for minor checks, adjustments and emergency repairs before setting off on the next stage of the journey.

It is important to know that Venice is not accessible by bicycle within the historic centre. Cycling is prohibited beyond the Tronchetto and Piazzale Roma areas, which represent the gateway to the city. For this reason, we recommend leaving your bicycle at Teresa House and reaching Venice comfortably by train or bus, both easily accessible from the property.

For guests planning to visit Venice and its islands using public transport, the Venezia Unica City Pass offers a convenient solution, providing access to water buses and public transport services with options specifically designed for visitors.

Cycling enthusiasts can continue their journey towards other destinations within the Venetian Lagoon. From Tronchetto, it is possible to board a ferry boat with your bicycle and reach the Lido of Venice, one of the most popular destinations among cyclists thanks to its scenic roads, beaches and natural landscapes.

The area surrounding Teresa House also offers a network of mostly flat cycling routes suitable for all levels of experience. From cycle paths leading towards Venice to the natural trails of the Mestre Woods, and the scenic routes along the Brenta Riviera and its historic Venetian villas, there are countless opportunities to experience the Veneto region from the saddle of your bicycle.
